The Rebuild Alabama Act, which was passed by Legislature in 2019, raised the statewide gasoline and diesel taxes to provide additional funding for projects at both state and local levels. Under the Rebuild Alabama Act, Madison County is required to provide a County Transportation Plan each fiscal year to allocate Rebuild Alabama funds towards road and bridge improvements.
