Location: The project begins at the intersection of West Limestone Rd. and Murphy Hill Rd. and runs east to the intersection of West Limestone and Highway 231/431. The total project length is 3.4 miles.

Project Description: The project includes the installation of 18,000ft of ductile-iron pipe to replace existing distribution mains. Customer water services will be transferred to the new main, once installed. Repairs to roadway surfaces, driveways, and landscaping will be completed as the project progresses and after the bulk of the water main installation is complete. There may be temporary impacts to traffic routing due to lane closures as the work progresses.

Need for Project: This project replaces aging water main along West Limestone that has seen numerous main breaks in recent years. The new water main has a larger diameter and will better support growth in the Hazel Green area.
