Location: The project begins at the intersection of Hwy 231/431 and Walker Ln and runs North to the intersection of Hwy 231/431 and Dundee Rd. The total project length is about 1.5 miles and will run along the East side of the Highway.

Project Description: The project includes the installation of 7,500ft of ductile-iron pipe to replace existing distribution mains. Customer water services will be transferred to the new main, once installed. Repairs to roadway surfaces, driveways, and landscaping will be completed as the project progresses and after the bulk of the water main installation is complete. There may be temporary impacts to traffic routing due to lane closures as the work progresses.

Project Timeline: The project is expected to begin in Winter 2024 and be completed by Summer 2025.

Need for Project: This project replaces aging, undersized water main along Hwy 231/431. The new water main has a larger diameter and will better support growth in Hazel Green.
