Location: Along Wall Triana Highway from US Highway 72 to just north of McCrary Road.

Project Description: This project will widen the existing two lane road to five lanes. The new roadway will include curb and gutter, shared bike lanes, and sidewalks. A signal is proposed at the intersection of Wall Triana Highway and Jack Clift Boulevard to control traffic from Clift Farm.

Need for Project: Wall Triana Highway is a major collector providing access to and from the many residential neighborhoods located in the Harvest/Monrovia communities in northwest Madison County to the major arterials located to the north at Highway 53 and southern terminus of Wall Triana Highway at US-72. Heavy delays are experienced during the morning and peak hours at key intersections along Wall Triana Highway.  This congestion continues to worsen as Madison County experiences unprecedented growth. This portion of the road has been the location of several head-on collisions/serious traffic accidents due to the narrowness of the two-lane road and high traffic volume.  By widening this roadway to five lanes, the safety for residents will be much improved, as well as easing the vehicular congestion.
