Location: Along Dug Hill Road from 500 feet south of Raintree Road to 1,000 feet south of BB Lawler Road/Windwood Drive.

Project Description: This project will provide safety improvements along Dug Hill Road to reduce lane departures at culvert crossings. A total of eight (8) culverts will be evaluated for replacement or extension to provide a 2 to 4 foot shoulder. Additional signing at curves and new traffic control devices (e.g. striping and raised pavement markers) will be installed.

Need for Project: Dug Hill Road is a rural major collector located in a mountainous terrain that has many grade changes and curves. Several accidents along the roadway are at culvert crossings due to limited clear zones. This project will provide extra room for vehicles to return to the lane in the event of a roadway departure.
