Provides interviews & evaluations of pretrial detainees making applications for release from jail on personal recognizance or unsecured appearance bonds and provides for the monitoring of defendants granted pretrial release. This may have the requirement of weekly or monthly reporting and drug testing depending on the charge.

Provides interviews, evaluations, and supervision of detainees that exhibit or have been diagnosed as mentally ill and to provide financial resources and address appropriate care to ensure the safety of the community.  This involves services provided by judicially approved clinical staff.

Upon meeting minimum requirements, sentenced inmates are allowed to maintain employment at an approved jobsite, while returning to the jail when not working while serving a period of incarceration.

Upon meeting minimum requirements, inmates are allowed to remain outside of a jail or prison facility, wearing and paying for electronic monitoring equipment, while serving a period of incarceration or as a condition of bond on a pending charge(s).  Which includes a mandatory component of GPS monitoring and drug testing.

Coordinated with the Alabama Department of Corrections, allows incarcerated individuals, as well as those facing incarceration upon conviction, to return/remain at an approved home plan within Madison County, while serving the remainder or the entirety of a period of incarceration.  These individuals remain inmates of the ADOC, are required to wear and pay for electronic monitoring equipment, maintain approved employment, and are required to participate in rehabilitative options.

Provides both general, and case specific supervision of defendants on Probation. Serves the 23^rd Judicial Circuit in misdemeanor cases, as well as probationary supervision in certain felony cases. 

Provides drug and alcohol assessment and treatment referrals to individuals who have been ordered to complete the Court Referral Program by the court as required by the Mandatory Treatment Act of 1990.

Provides supervision for individuals on the DUI Diversion Program as ordered by the Judge and agreed to by the District Attorney’s Office. Individuals on the DUI Diversion Program will complete Court Referral requirements, drug testing, victims impact panel, self-help meetings and community service work. 

Felony diversion treatment court for individuals with substance abuse issues. Drug Court encompasses various treatment modalities, enhanced supervision requirements, drug and alcohol testing and court appearances, while on the program Upon successful completion and agreement by the Drug Court team underlying case(s) is nolle prosequi by the court.

Provides qualified drivers/defendants with the appropriate level of defensive driving course to satisfy Court requirements. This office utilizes the National Safety Council curriculum. An online option is available to those who qualify.

Provides onsite observed drug and alcohol testing services to clients and the defendants of the 23^rd Judicial Circuit. Drug Lab hours of Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM.
