Location: US Highway 53 and Jeff Road along east Jeff Road to Allyson Sadie Boulevard.

Project Description: This project will provide capacity improvements and access management at the intersection of Jeff Road and US Highway 53. Improvements include increasing the length of the southbound left turn lane on Jeff Road to accommodate more storage during peak hour traffic, converting the Publix and Jacks entrances on Jeff Road to right-in right-out only to eliminate conflict points with vehicles making left turning movements, increasing the length of the right turn lane from Jeff Road into the Publix shopping center and connecting it to the northbound right turn lane from Highway 53 onto Jeff Road, installing a southbound right turn lane on Jeff Road onto Highway 53, installing a westbound right turn lane on Allyson Sadie Boulevard onto Jeff Road, and additional right turn lanes along Highway 53 into the McDonalds and Jacks businesses.

Need for Project: During peak hours this intersection is congested. Due to the alignment of Jeff Road, it can be difficult for vehicles to pull out.
