District One Commissioner
Northern and Northeastern Madison County which includes the communities of Meridianville, Hazel Green, Moores Mill, Walnut Grove, Plevna, Riverton, Mt. Carmel and New Market. In the city of Huntsville, Chapman, the old Dallas and Lincoln Mills neighborhoods, Five Points, Old Town, Twickenham Downtown District, Blossomwood and Monte Sano.
All my life, I have lived and earned my living farming and as a businessman in District 1. As Commissioner of District 1, I will always remember that you elected me to represent you and that the office belongs to you. My door is always open, and I am as close as your telephone. You have my assurance that every citizen will be treated fairly and courteously.

A life-long resident of District 1 in Madison County. Roger Jones is retired from the family farm which included cotton, soybeans, wheat, and cattle. He is in partnership with his son, Jeff, and an uncle, Kenneth Jones in New Market Nursery and owns and operates New Market Sod Farm with his son Greg. Jones has been married to Brenda Harmening Jones for 50 years and has three children, sons Jeff and Greg and daughter Carol Ann and six grandchildren Lauren, Logan, Ethan, Hayden, Harley and Haley.
Roger graduated from Buckhorn High School and attended Auburn University. He was nominated "Outstanding Young Farmer of the Year" in 1977.
Jones is in his fourth term as District One Madison County Commissioner and has served since 2000.

Large Item Trash Collection Zones Map
The Number on the map represents the week of the month for large item trash collection. The first week begins on the first Monday of the month. The second week begins on the second week begins on the second Monday and so forth. We cannot provide a specific day your trash will be picked up, sometime between Monday and Friday; due to the increase in the amount of trash being placed out for collection during peak times, collections may be delayed.
