Companies which are required to pay sales and/or use tax in Madison County may obtain applications from this office or click here to fill out and print the Application for Sales and/or Use Tax.

Payment is due by the 20th of the month; mailed payments must be postmarked by the 20th to avoid penalties.

Madison County sales tax returns and payments may now be made online at www.click2file.net. If you file online, you must pay online using electronic transfer of funds. You may still file using paper returns by mailing the returns and a check to Madison County Sales Tax Department, 100 North Side Square, Huntsville, AL 35801. Due to confidentiality requirements, we cannot discuss a sales tax account with anyone except an owner or an individual designated by the owner. The power of attorney form should be submitted to make that designation.

1% tax applies everywhere in Madison County (including Redstone Arsenal), except within the city limits of Huntsville.
