Fundraising Activities:

Committee Chairman for the United Negro College Fund at Oakwood College, Huntsville, Alabama for three (3) of its seventeen years history. In 1996, raised in excess of $150K.

Committee Member and Chairperson for two activities purposed to raise 1.2 million dollars to be matched to provide two one (1) million dollar endowed chairs for Alabama A&M University. The effort was successful and became the basis for the inception of the Alabama A&M University Foundation.

Board Member for the Harris Home for Children for twelve (12) years. Spearheaded several fundraising activities. Most notable project was the construction of a $200K multi-purposed facility to server as the hub of campus activity at the Harris Home facility. All resources came from private and in kind donations. Also served for six (6) years as Auctioneer for the annual charity benefit, raising thousands of dollars in revenue each year.
