South Huntsville Urban District which includes everything south of Governors Drive and north of Green Cove Road and west to Redstone Arsenal and east to the ridge of Green Mountain. This includes over Cecil Ashburn Drive to Hampton Cove, the Ledges and Greenwhyche area.

Phil Riddick in November will begin serving his second term as the District 5 Commissioner who represents South Huntsville.

Riddick was first appointed by Governor Bob Riley on January 4, 2011 to serve the remaining term of Mo Brooks' who was elected to Congress in 2010. Commissioner Riddick has no opposition in the 2012 November General Election. He will be sworn in to office November 14, 2012.

Riddick works at Bill Poole Realty, a commercial real estate brokerage firm. He has more than 25 years of sales experience in real estate, computer and industrial supply industries.

Riddick is an ambassador for the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce, President of the Huntsville Metro Kiwanis Club, President of Huntsville Youth Orchestra, member of the Association of County Commissioners of Alabama and serves on the Legislative Committee and as Finance and Taxation Subcommittee Chair and past chair of the South Huntsville Civic Association's political action committee. He previously served eight years on the Madison County Republican Executive Committee.

Riddick and his wife, Rebecca, have one son, Steven, who is a freshman at Birmingham Southern College.

His father, Frank Riddick, is a former Madison County probate judge, former state legislator and former Huntsville city councilman.
